Vipul Ranjane, a WordsMaya student from IKSC Knowledge Bridge has written his views on Religion.

Read on, to know more.

I think religion is a methodology which makes you stronger, responsible and gives you spiritual approach. It makes you able to take care of everyone, but most importantly makes you happy. Religion is a tool which teaches us how to live life, how to face problems in difficult situations.

India is known for diversity. Diversity in language, culture, attire etc. But it is India that hold everyone together. Origins of various religions lie here.

I think religion is a methodology which makes you stronger, responsible and gives you spiritual approach. It makes you able to take care of everyone, but most importantly makes you happy. Religion is a tool which teaches us how to live life, how to face problems in difficult situations.

There have been many religions like Hinduism, Islamism, Buddhism, Jainism etc. Every religion teaches peace. There may be different paths of each religion to travel. But I am sure that their destiny is one, that destiny is ‘HUMANITY’. I believe that religion is made for human beings and not human beings are made for religion.

Honesty, when I ask to my soul about my religion, every time it tells me ‘HUMANITY’, because every religion is beneath ‘HUMANITY’. Religion is anything that converts’ cruelty to compassion’,’ hatred to love’. From my perspective there could be many religions like love, truth, peace, helpfulness, happiness etc.

While, thinking of these beautiful aspects of my life, suddenly several questions come into my mind like

Terrorist attacks, Women molestation, child abuse. What kind of religion they follow? I get shocked. Don’t

know answers of these questions.

Let me tell you a famous dialogue of a movie ‘We are religious by force not by choice’. We cannot choose our religion but which religion (peace, kindness) we should follow that can be chosen. Show kindness to unkind people because they deserve it more. Do not blame anyone based on their religion. Make friendship with them as friendship is itself a religion.

Current scenario depicts that one praises own religion and offends someone else’s religion. Do not follow blindly unless you experience it. Do not hurt feeling of others, it pays off. Do not try to impose your religious thoughts on someone, it will lead only to destruction.

At last would say, ‘Every book, every practice is a disaster unless you read it, experience it’.

I would like to dedicate my first article to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Wasn’t that a wonderfully piece of writing? If you think so, tell us what you feel, in the comments section.
